Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking an Associate in the Rail Advisory team to deliver demanding forecasting, economic appraisal and business case work. You will manage bids and projects, lead on technical analyses and mentor junior staff, while collaborating across multiple teams.

Hybrid working is available in Reading, with a focus on expanding client relationships and delivering high-quality rail solutions in line with Green Book guidance.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering analytical or modelling projects using rail data.
• Strong presentation, written and numerical skills.
• Ability to manage your own time effectively and support others.
• Confidently manage the delivery of projects and oversee the work of junior colleagues.
• Knowledge of PDFH methodologies and rail demand forecasting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Support business development by identifying and maintaining relationships with client contacts and pursuing new sales opportunities.
• Maintain delivery excellence across projects, ensuring time, cost and quality targets are met.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project managers and analysts across the Rail Advisory team.
• Present to clients and external stakeholders and contribute to knowledge sharing within SYSTRA.
• Raise the profile of SYSTRA through papers and conference contributions.
