A leading healthcare provider in Manchester seeks an Administrative Support for the Radiotherapy department. The role involves assisting with patient data management, scheduling appointments, and providing high-quality patient care. Ideal candidates should have prior customer service and administrative experience, with a commitment to patient support and care standards.
The post-holder is responsible for the provision of high quality and comprehensive day-to-day administrative, and clerical support within the Radiotherapy department. The individual is expected to carry out delegated, administrative, and clerical duties to support and to ensure appropriate care, information and support is given to all patients and their carer's. Provide reception cover for the department as well as collation, input, and analysis of relevant patient data while problem solving and communicating effectively. Working under the direction of the Administration Managers to undertake routine and specifically identified tasks once training and competencies have been completed. Although not exhaustive will include the booking in of patients on the Radiotherapy Mosaiq system, liaising with staff in the Radiotherapy and other departments within the Trust.
The post holder must contribute to the efficient running of the service, and work within The Christie NHS Foundation Trust policies and Health & Safety Legislation.
Communication Skills
Ensuring accurate recording/input of treatment and planning data, organising, and scheduling patient appointments, greeting, and escorting patients and assisting patients with appointment queries.
Knowledge, training, and experience
Problem solving & forward thinking. Uses knowledge of integrated clinical information systems for collating data and adding referrals. Data input and radiotherapy completion tasks. Where applicable, provides retrieval of medical documents for clinical information including those from other Trusts
Personal Skills
Liaises with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure that adequate information and support is available to patients
Planning and Organisation
Plan and organise own time and workload activity referring to managers as necessary

The support team works closely with the radiographers and medical team providing administration, practical and clinical support for patients. Working hours must be flexible to fit the needs of the service. This may include evening work, some weekend working and does include working bank holidays. Individuals will be expected to participate in all shift patterns
