Are you registered Therapeutic Radiographer considering a career in clinical research?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, organised and experienced Therapeutic Radiographer to join the Oncology research team at Charing Cross Hospital. This post will work within the research delivery team alongside consultants and the wider multi-disciplinary team to deliver commercial and academic clinical trials for radiotherapy and oncology patients and will have strong links to the radiotherapy department.
The radiotherapy service equipment portfolio currently includes five Varian TrueBeam linacs all with IGRT capabilities, two with BrainLab ExacTrac imaging & one with AlignRT SGRT. Other equipment includes a busy Brachytherapy Elekta Felxitron unit, Xstrahl orthovoltage unit and a Siemens go.Open pro CT scanner. The service offers a wide range of treatment options including SABR, SRS, TBI, TLNI, VMAT, 3DCRT as well as gynae, oesophageal & rectal brachytherapy. Over the next 12 months we are replacing two of our oldest linacs with Accuray Radixact systems.
The post-holder will be part of a large and dynamic team, so must enjoy working independently as well as part of a team. Experience in clinical oncology is essential along with the ability to understand and develop skills in clinical research. There are several training opportunities available and we strongly encourage both personal and professional development.
