Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust in Southampton is seeking a Radiopharmacy team member to prepare diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals, perform QC checks, and support other staff. You will work 5:30am to 1pm, with full training provided if you have a Pharmacy Technician background or a science degree.

This role offers development within a leading acute teaching Trust with strong values.

Qualifications

Pharmacy Technician, Science Manufacturing Technician, or degree-level qualification in a relevant science subject.
Radiopharmacy experience not essential; full training provided.
Strong interest in developing technical skills and working early shifts.

Responsibilities

Prepare diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals per procedures and quality standards.
Undertake quality control testing of finished radiopharmaceutical products.
Perform in-process checks on the work of other team members.
Supervise and support less experienced staff undertaking radiopharmaceutical preparation.
Maintain high standards of quality, safety, accuracy and compliance.
Collaborate with the senior Radiopharmacy team to support service development.
Contribute to development of Radiopharmacy in line with commercial and operational needs.
Follow procedures and quality management systems for preparation and handling of radiopharmaceuticals.
