An opportunity has arisen for a Radiopharmacy Quality Lead to join our Radiopharmacy Unit at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Trust (UHBW)!

We hold an MHRA ‘Specials’ licence and provide a radiopharmaceutical service across the South West.

As the Radiopharmacy Quality Lead, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, efficacy, and compliance of radiopharmaceuticals manufactured at UHBW Trust. This is a unique opportunity that works alongside the Radiopharmacy Production team and QA/QC department to develop and standardise the service and aid in patient diagnostics and therapy.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for the Radiopharmacy Quality Management System

Oversight of operational quality assurance within Radiopharmacy to ensure regulatory standards are adhered to and best practice implemented at all times

Project work for regulatory compliance, futureproofing and development of the service

Work closely with the Associate Director of Pharmacy – Radiopharmacy, Deputy Radiopharmacy Quality Lead and Radiopharmacy Production team as well as liaise with other staff members within Technical Services (PSU, Production, QA/QC)

Named as responsible for Quality on the MHRA Specials licence

Participate in release, dispatch and quality control of radiopharmaceuticals including clinical trials and radio-labelled blood products.
