Job description

We Are Hiring
  • Sign-on bonus: Up to $15,000.00
  • Department: Electrophysiology Lab
  • Schedule: Full-Time Days; 4, 10-Hour Shifts, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday - 7:00 am - 5:30 pm
  • Hospital: UAB St. Vincent's East

What You Will Do

Perform vascular diagnostic procedures to detect peripheral vascular disease or obstructions.

  • Evaluate patient for presence of peripheral vascular disease by selecting most effective procedures within regulatory and compliance guidelines.
  • Perform appropriate diagnostic procedures, records patient test results and reports results.
  • Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities or changes in patient responses.
  • Maintain adequate supplies and verifies all equipment is in proper working condition; reports deficiencies and failures.
  • Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date require. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
