Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a patient transport role within the Radiology department. You will move patients to and from imaging areas, assist technologists with workflow, and manage patient information for exams.

The role requires strong communication and customer service skills, with preferred enrollment in a healthcare-related program. You will interact across departments to ensure smooth patient flow and safety.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and patient-facing customer service.
• Ability to collect and review patient information for exams.
• Willingness to assist in transferring and moving patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist in transporting patients to, from, and throughout Radiology.
• Review patient information for exams and prepare records.
• Assist in patient transfers including lateral transfers from stretchers.
• Prepare Radiology rooms by cleaning, stocking and setting up for exams.
• Coordinate internal and external communications (phone, fax, email).
• Deliver/transports imaging contrast, labs and related items.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Other duties as needed.
