Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 2 Radiology Department Assistant to rotate across NNUH, CDC, and Cromer District Hospital. The role involves assisting with imaging, patient prep, positioning, and basic anatomy knowledge. Shifts include 7.5 and 12.5 hours, covering nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Assist with all aspects of imaging, including preparing patients for examinations and helping position patients for examinations.
• Communicate effectively with patients, showing care and empathy, especially when patients are unwell or distressed.
• Basic knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology to support imaging procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist with positioning.
• Assist with interventional procedures under supervision.
• Support a high standard of patient care across three hospital sites (NNUH, CDC, CDH).
• Help ensure safe, compassionate imaging workflows.
