A leading healthcare provider in Bath seeks a Booking Clerk to support radiology appointments. You will communicate effectively with departments and manage bookings on Soliton. Ideal candidates possess strong admin skills and the ability to adapt within a busy environment. Training and support will be provided.
If you have highly effective admin and organisational skills, there is an opportunity to join the Radiology Team as a Booking Clerk supporting the Booking Teams for 37.5 hours per week. This role is also the central point of communication for other hospital departments, GPs and outside agencies, so we are looking for an individual who can communicate effectively with colleagues, patients and medical teams.
Duties include making and taking telephone calls (which may need escalating appropriately), booking appointments and handling general enquiries. Previous admin experience is essential together with excellent computer skills with medical terminology. As we are a busy department, the ability to think on your feet and remain calm would be an asset. This is a busy role which will involve multi-tasking with ever-changing priorities and working autonomously and without direct supervision. Our ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable and willing to work as part of our busy but supportive team.
Training and support will be given to the successful candidate and the working hours can be flexible.
Please see the Job Description attached for full details of the main duties for this role.
You will be responsible for ensuring appointments and waiting lists are booked efficiently on Soliton. You will also be responsible for the timely prioritisation and triage of referrals from Multidisciplinary teams.
