Radiology Assistant

Scone Equine Hospital Scone Equine Hospital is the largest equine veterinary practice in Australia and provides a world-class, specialised team working in equine surgery, medicine, diagnostic imaging, reproduction, neonatal and intensive care.

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Veterinary Assistant to join our Imaging team at Scone Equine Hospital. The role will involve assisting Veterinarians in all aspects of radiology both on farm and in hospital along with in clinic CT scans. There are administration requirements daily and a focused day once a week. Some of the duties performed include:

1. Holding X-ray plates for the Veterinarian
2. Setting up equipment
3. Cleaning and restocking equipment
4. Handling young horses
5. Administration including invoicing for department, preparing work lists and referencing thoroughbred stud book, stock control.

Skills and Experience

1. Experience in working with a variety of horses
2. Enthusiasm, motivation, and passion for patient care
3. Strong teamwork and the ability to work autonomously
4. Desirable but not essential - radiology experience and or vet nursing experience
5. Confidence in Microsoft office
