Job summary

Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Norwich is seeking a proactive Radiology Receptionist to join our busy department. You will schedule imaging appointments across Ultrasound, X‑ray, CT and MRI, call patients to confirm dates, and provide clear directions and information to prepare for scans.

Job description

Shifts are allocated on a roster basis with the earliest starting at 7am and the latest finish of 8pm. We provide a 7-day service therefore will include working weekends and bank holidays.,

• Schedule Imaging appointments for a range of modalities; Ultrasound, X-Ray, CT, and MRI. This includes calling patients to agree the appointment date and time, giving directions and providing relevant information in preparation for their scan.
• Answer incoming calls in a timely manner, working with the team to manage voicemails and emails, assisting patients, staff and healthcare professionals with any queries.
• Covering various reception desks within the department, to arrive patients for their appointments and assist with queries. Some reception desks involve liaising with wards and portering services to arrange inpatient scheduling.

  We are looking for people that are passionate about providing an exemplary service, to work as part of a dynamic team helping to a deliver a safe and effective Radiology service at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

The successful candidate will be able to work in a systemic and methodical way, using on their own initiative, be conscientious, and have excellent interpersonal communication and customer care skills. Applicants will have a keen eye for detail, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritise workload.
