Job summary

A regional healthcare provider in Warwick is seeking a Radiologic Technologist responsible for performing quality DSA and cut film radiographs with minimal radiation. Primary Function: Responsible for providing quality DSA and cut film radiographs with minimal radiation or contrast injection to the patient.

Responsibilities:

  1. Set up and operate all radiographic equipment, including the integrated computer system and hardware.
  2. Process, examine, and evaluate radiographs. Prepare radiographs for final interpretation by radiologists and surgeons.
  3. Assist the Radiologist with procedures such as film programming and contrast injection.
  4. Prepare instruments, guidewires, catheters, syringes, and injectors using sterile technique.
  5. Position the patient to help the radiologist obtain the best view of the affected area.
  6. Greet and reassure the patient. Explain the exam to put the patient at ease. Prepare and drape the patient using sterile technique.
  7. Respond to after-hour call-backs on an emergency basis.
  8. Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications and Specifications: An Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology and at least one year of relevant experience or equivalent is required. CPR certification and ARRT registration are also required.
