Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Assistant Physicist in Radiological Physics and Radiation Safety. The role requires a physics background, analytical skills, and programming ability, with 37.5 hours a week and flexible/hybrid working options.

The post involves liaising with PACS and IT teams, data analysis, and development work related to radiological safety and dosimetry. Applicants should have an honours physics degree and relevant knowledge.

Qualifications

• Honours degree (First or 2:1) in physics or equivalent.
• Honours degree (2:2) in physics plus MSc or higher in medical/radiation physics.
• Knowledge of clinical radiology physics and dosimetry is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Radiology PACS and trust IT teams.
• Contribute to programming and software development for the team.
• Assist with performance testing and patient dosimetry.
