Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (BHT) invites applications for a Radiographic Assistant at the new Community Diagnostic Centre in Amersham. The role is 37.5 hours per week, with on-call readiness and a mix of full-time duties across CT, MRI, ultrasound and plain film X-ray, in a busy radiology department.

candidate will work closely with consultants, radiographers and sonographers, maintain patient data, support sterile procedures, and help ensure safe, compassionate care while juggling

Qualifications

• Education to O Level/GCSE standard to include English Language
• NVQ Level 2 in healthcare or imaging and/or equivalent experience or willingness to undertake the appropriate training
• Experience of working in a team
• Experience of working face to face with the general public in a very busy environment
• Previous experience of working with patients in a caring environment

Responsibilities

• Work across CT, MRI, U/S, and Plain Film X-ray.
• Assist with sterile procedures, chaperoning and preparing patients for examinations.
• Prioritise workload and maintain patient data with good IT skills.
• Provide safe and compassionate care in challenging situations.
