Radiographic Assistant -37.5 hrs per week
This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to join the team of radiographic assistants in a new Community Diagnostic Centre in Amersham.
This is a rewarding role working closely with patients and all members of the Radiology Department as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
The candidate will be expected to work across CT, MRI, U/S, and Plain Film X-ray. The role involves assisting with sterile procedures, chaperoning and preparing patients for examinations working along side consultant radiologists, radiographers and sonographers.
You will need to be well organised with good communication skills and have a good grasp of IT. A sympathetic attitude to patients is essential ensuring safe and compassionate care. You will need to be able to cope with distressing and often challenging situations while prioritising your workload.
The department is very busy performing over 250,000 examinations per annum including ultrasound, plain films, CT, MRI, biopsies and treatment procedures.
