Job description

Exciting opportunities exist for a Radiographic Assistant to join the Radiology team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW). The successful candidate will assist Radiographers with workload management, including preparing patients for examinations, chaperoning, data entry on the radiology information system, and equipment decontamination in ultrasound work. Full training will be provided.

The role requires a flexible approach to working hours, including night shifts and weekends, as duties are 24/7. Good communication skills and an empathetic approach to patients and their relatives are essential. The candidate will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of patient care and experience. Previous NHS experience is advantageous.

• Assist Radiologists, Radiographers, and administrative staff to maintain efficient service standards.
• Provide high-quality patient care before, during, and after examinations, following instructions and training.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, relatives, and the multidisciplinary team, handling inquiries and passing information appropriately.
• Ensure accurate data entry and filing on computer systems.
