Job summary
To carry out specialist Mammography imaging, training, and other related duties, provided by the OUH NHSFT at sites across Oxfordshire.
The post holder must be qualified to work as an operator/practitioner within Diagnostic Radiography as defined by IR(ME)R (2017).
Working in conjunction with the Manager and Deputy, duties include: the daily organisation of breast imaging services, ensuring the delivery of a professional, high-quality, effective, and flexible service that is responsive to the needs of screening clients, symptomatic patients, their clinicians, relatives, and carers.
The supervision and training of Radiographers, Assistant/Associate Practitioners, and other health professionals as part of a National Breast Education Centre. Assist in ultrasound clinics. Be responsible for own clinical work and professional development. Support service development and help improve/maintain the quality of the service through quality assurance programmes and departmental audit. The post holder will support clinical governance and work as part of a multidisciplinary team towards shared objectives.

Oxford Breast Imaging Centre is looking for UK postgraduate qualified radiographers in mammography to join our team. We provide both a screening and symptomatic service across Oxfordshire, with sites at the Churchill Hospital, Nuffield Orthopaedic Hospital, Horton General Hospital, and two mobile screening vans.
The successful candidate will produce high-quality mammograms consistently, taking ownership of their own continuing professional development and learning. They will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide excellent care.
We have both Hologic 3Dimensions and GE Pristina Equipment and will provide training on the equipment. The successful applicant will be expected to assist in interventional procedures—core biopsies, vacuum-assisted core biopsies, localisations, and ultrasound etc.—as required, including preparation of procedure trolley and support of patients undergoing procedures.
