Job summary

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 5 Radiographer to join the Imaging team. You will produce high-quality radiographs to aid diagnosis, while meeting Radiation Protection guidelines and participating in CPD and training of students.

Core hours include a 37.5 hour week on a rotational schedule. Applicants should have HCPC registration, a radiography degree, and be committed to patient safety and teamwork. Flexible working may be available.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) Radiography and HCPC registration or pending certification.
• DCR (R) or international equivalent; membership of SOR where applicable.
• Interest in CPD and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all radiographic duties to a high standard.
• Ensure patients receive a high standard of care.
• Be familiar with routine procedures in all general, screening, casualty, mobile and theatre radiography.
• Assist with training of student radiographers.
• Communicate with staff to ensure smooth department operation.
• Adhere to Radiation Protection, IR(ME)R, and local rules.
• Follow Health and Safety at Work Act 1974; keep areas clean and safe.
• Participate in quality assurance programmes and report equipment faults.
• Take part in on-call and standby rotas as required.
• Provide initial assessment and interpretation of images produced.
• Demonstrate safe manual handling and infection control.
