Circle Health Group, Shirley Oaks Hospital in Croydon, is seeking a Radiographer to join the Imaging department on a bank, as-and-when-required basis. You will perform a range of diagnostic radiographic procedures, align with referral protocols, and ensure high-quality images while maintaining safety standards.

HCPC registered radiographers with a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography, and experience in general radiography are encouraged to apply.

Qualifikationen

• BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
• HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
• Experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment.
• Good understanding of IR(ME)R, health & safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Aufgaben

• Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g., general X-rays, theatre, fluoroscopy, mobiles) following referral and imaging protocols.
• Ensure high-quality images are produced to support accurate diagnosis, minimising the need for repeat exposures.
• Provide a safe, dignified, and person-centred service, ensuring patients are informed, comfortable, and reassured throughout their examination.
• Comply with IR(ME)R regulations, local rules, and departmental safety protocols to ensure safe radiation practices.
• Ensure equipment is checked, maintained, and used safely and effectively, reporting faults promptly.
• Work closely with radiologists, consultants, nurses, porters, and admin teams to coordinate care efficiently and maintain smooth patient pathways.
