Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and interpret complex cross-sectional imaging procedures, including CT and MRI scans.
- Lead and supervise a team of radiographers, ensuring high standards of imaging and patient care.
- Provide expert advice on imaging techniques and protocols to clinical staff and patients.
- Manage departmental workflows and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of imaging protocols and quality assurance procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of imaging procedures and patient interactions.
- Participate in on-call and out-of-hours services as required.
- Engage in continuous professional development and stay updated with advancements in radiology.
Requirements:
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a radiographer.
- 2+ years of NHS experience mandatory
- Extensive experience in cross-sectional imaging, including CT and MRI.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and improving departmental processes.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing demands.
- Postgraduate qualifications in advanced imaging or leadership.
- Experience in research or teaching within radiology.
