Job summary

A healthcare provider is seeking a Radiography Assistant to assist clinicians in various procedures at their Nottingham location. The ideal candidate has experience in outpatient settings, particularly with patients undergoing biopsies, and can manage stressful situations empathetically. This is a full-time role requiring in-person attendance.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in outpatient or clinic settings, ideally within breast clinics.

Responsibilities

  • Assist radiologists, clinicians, and radiographers during patient assessments.

In this role, you will be assisting radiologists, clinicians, and radiographers during symptomatic and screening assessment clinics. You will be required to communicate effectively with clients and patients from different backgrounds, or who may have challenging behaviours, learning and physical disabilities or who may have received bad news.

  • Escorting and chaperoning for ultrasound and clinical examinations
  • Assisting with ultrasound and stereotactic guided biopsy procedures
  • Caring for patients during and after diagnostic procedures
  • Preparing examination room and equipment ready for use
What you'll need
  • Experience working within an outpatient or clinic setting, ideally within breast clinics and with patients undergoing biopsies.
  • Able to manage stressful situations with empathy.
  • Able to manipulate fine tools and equipment.
  • Able to undertake patient manual handling manoeuvres and non-patient manual handling manoeuvres with help of mechanical aides, if required.
In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of:

  • Registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
