Job description

A Radiographer is sought for a six-month contract position.

Essential Requirements

  • PCN Level 2 radiography in welds
  • A National Certificate (NC) or Higher National Certificate (HNC) in an appropriate technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • PCN Radiation Protection Supervisor or Advanced Radiation Safety certification
  • Experience with the non-destructive testing (NDT) of metallic structures, particularly welds
  • Strong understanding of IRR 2017 and product safety standards.

Essential Skills

  • Interpretation of weld defects via radiographic and NDT techniques
  • Ability to write and interpret radiographic techniques and inspection reports
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and communication.

Desirable Skills

  • PCN Level 2 in dye penetrant testing
  • PCN Level 2 or CSWIP 3.1 in welding inspection
  • A background in a skilled trade discipline.

Pay

  • Pay rates: £30 per hour for PAYE employees or £40.33 per hour for umbrella employees.

Hours Of Work

  • The working week for this role is spread across four days.
