The area is surrounded by beautiful Carmarthenshire countryside, unspoilt beaches and is close to Swansea and an hour from Cardiff.
Applicants will possess BSc / DCR(R) in Diagnostic Radiography, HCPC registration. The successful applicants will be based at Glangwili General Hospital but will be expected to be flexible in their approach to the needs of the service and may be required to work at other sites within the Health Board. Students who have just qualified are encouraged to apply. The post is a full-time position plus participation in extended days and the out of hours rota. Part time or job share are welcome to apply. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen are looking for Band 5 Radiographers. Glangwili General Hospital is a busy district general hospital which has major trauma status for West Wales. Role extension is encouraged, and we have Radiographer led Barium swallows and hysterosalpingograms, Plain film, CT and MRI Radiographer reporting and opportunities for post graduate study including ultrasound training. The department has a busy on call, which is staffed on site for General and CT. Participation in on call is mandatory after training and induction has been completed. All modalities work extended days and weekends., Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties. We have over 13,000 staff and together we provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services. We work in partnership with the three local authorities, as well as public, private and third sector colleagues, including our valued team of volunteers.
