This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic radiographers to join our progressive, supportive, and friendly department in a major teaching hospital, in the heart of Central London.
As we offer a wide range of services, this is an excellent opportunity to learn new clinical skills and broaden your current skill base whilst working in a supportive team. As a department, we are very supportive of role development; currently we have radiographers reporting in Axial/Appendicular, Chest and Abdominal X-ray; Mammography; Upper GI and Urological Fluoroscopy. Radiographers are also inserting PICC lines; undertaking Barium Swallow lists and running the CT Colonography lists across the Service.
We are looking to recruit 3rd Year City St George's University of London radiographer undergraduates with UCLH placements who have sophisticated communication skills and a patient-centred approach. You will need to have extensive general radiographic experience. You are required to hold demonstrable teaching abilities as you will be working with under-graduates & junior staff.
The successful candidates will gain experience in a wide range of General Radiography including essential participation of the Out of hours rota with rotation through other Trust satellite units including the Macmillan Cancer Centre, Westmoreland street hospital & Grafton Way Hospital.
This is an exciting role for a dedicated and enthusiastic radiographer with a desire to enhance existing skills and knowledge.
You will be providing a high-quality diagnostic service whilst maintaining a safe working Imaging environment.
You will be working closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team in providing this service. Good communication skills and excellent team working abilities are essential for this post.
You will be carrying out a variety of radiographic examinations whilst complying with Ionisation Radiation Medical Exposure Regulations 2017.
You will need assist with the supervision of student radiographers on study placement with the Trust and junior staff.
You should have a flexible and pragmatic approach to your work, good organisational skills that will enable you to manage workflow and support your patients.
