Job summary

A leading NHS hospital in the UK is looking for a radiographer. You will be part of a supportive team, engaged in various imaging tasks in a busy environment. The role involves working in departments like Emergency and General X-Ray, providing clinical placements, and helping new radiographers develop their skills. Come and join our large, friendly Radiology Department and you'll find one of the most adaptable and innovative working environments anywhere in the UK. We have a comprehensive induction programme with mentorship which will help you to settle in and become a valued member of our team.

The successful candidate will be confident and competent at undertaking all aspects of Plain Imaging, being able to work in our busy Emergency Department, General X-Ray Department and Theatre, as well as performing Mobile Imaging on the wards and in theatre.

Our hospital has been chosen by the Government for the 'New Hospital Programme' and so our whole department, and hospital, will be being revamped in the coming years. We also have an exciting new purpose built diagnostic scanning centre being built next year and hopefully our South Imaging CDC is also in the future - its a very exciting time to join Frimley Park Hospital!

Creating leaders and advancing our team is at the forefront of our departments strategy so we are looking for individuals who want to learn to be the future of radiography. Using our Trust values and our already established leadership team as mentors, we want to create and nurture future talent in both leadership and advanced practice.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for individuals who want to work in a busy but supportive department with a outstanding, friendly team around them.

We also closely collaborate with St Georges and Kingston University, providing clinical placement and support to Radiography Students from each year group. Our apprenticeship programme is also established so new radiographers will be helping to teach the future additions of the team.
