Responsibilities

  • Coordinate operational information with Dock Master and Marine Supervisors.
  • Liaise with Pilots and PEC Holders on vessels.
  • Monitor shipping movements in coordination with VTS Humber.
  • Provide marine operational information to stakeholders.
  • Operate CCTV for vessel monitoring.
  • Control Lock Operating system.
  • Input operational data into PAVIS vessel management system.
  • Ensure security access control.
  • Assist with emergency response.

We are looking for a Radio Operator to join the team in the Immingham Marine Control Centre. The role involves establishing and maintaining communications with vessels using the port and operating the lock control system.

Accountabilities
  • Coordination of operational information as required by the Duty Assistant Dock Master, with Marine Supervisors, to complete port marine operations.
  • Communication and liaison with Pilots and PEC Holders on vessels in transit to/from the Port of Immingham and passing the port area.
  • Close liaison with VTS Humber to monitor shipping movements.
  • Provide current marine operational information as requested to Pilots, PEC Holders, Agents, and customers.
  • CCTV operation to monitor vessels entering or leaving the enclosed dock or using river berths and reporting/recording any incidents or damages.
  • Operation of the Lock Operating control system.
  • Operation of the dock impounding system.
  • Collation and input of operational data into the PAVIS vessel management system.
  • Responsible for security access control to the lockside, East & West lead-in jetties, and the dock office building.
  • Assist with coordinated response in the event of an incident or emergency.
