Job Description:

Our client is a leading electronics group specializing in next-generation communications technology across sectors such as Telecommunications, Aerospace & Defence, and Critical Infrastructure.

They are seeking an experienced Field Engineer with knowledge of Telecommunications systems, preferably with a military background, to support their growing presence in the UK Aerospace & Defence market.

• Work on secure communications systems for military and commercial clients, mainly supporting naval platforms.
• Operate independently with high autonomy, traveling to customer sites including Naval vessels within the UK and internationally.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot RF Communications Systems.
• Strong analytical and technical skills focused on fault finding are essential.
• Training will be provided through internal programs and on-site with Senior Engineers.

This role reports to the head of the UK Projects and Solutions group, with potential career growth into roles such as Lead Engineer, Project Management, or Engineering Management.

Applicants must hold a Full UK driving license and be eligible for UK SC and DV Clearance due to travel and Defence Industry requirements.

Additional required skills/experience

• Good working knowledge of RF electronics, ideally within a Military HF/VHF/UHF environment.
• Experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing legacy or delivered communication systems.
• Experience in developing system test strategies and validation, verification, and test plan documentation.
• Understanding of fault-finding in TCP/IP Server-Based Systems/Networks.
