A leading racing technology company is seeking an IT Technical Support Engineer in Cambridge. The successful candidate will install and maintain IT systems at track events, ensuring hardware reliability and data performance. Qualified applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering and possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Fluency in French and English is required, along with knowledge of Active Directory and VMware.

Job Description:

Participate in the development of Information Technology plans, strategies, and methods to maximize the department’s contribution towards meeting overall company goals and objectives.

Main Tasks

  • Setup, support, operate, and maintain the IT infrastructure in a racing environment.
  • Travel with the IT team to track events and testing facilities.
  • Setup and maintain trackside IT systems at race and test events.
  • Monitor performance of data transfer and hardware reliability.
  • Assist colleagues with day-to-day IT technical challenges during race and test events.
  • Perform additional related IT duties as assigned.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role within motorsport, WEC.
  • Experience with Active Directory Domain Services (ADUC/DNS/DHCP/CA/GPO).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 & Office 365 services and administration.
  • Experience with virtualization using VMware vSphere / VMware Horizon.
  • Proficiency in French and English is mandatory.

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Technical Support Engineer.
