About TrackIt

trackit is building the operating system for motorsports—starting with a platform that helps teams and drivers track race car parts, monitor wear and performance, and streamline maintenance and operations. Our mission is to make motorsport smarter, safer, and more connected.

We’re now looking to bring on a seasoned motorsport professional who deeply understands race car components and lifing systems, and who can help us design and implement RFID/NFC solutions to digitize part tracking across teams and vehicles.

Role Overview

As the Race Engineering & RFID/NFC Systems Lead, you will be responsible for designing and leading the implementation of RFID/NFC-based parts tracking across the trackit platform. This role bridges motorsport engineering knowledge and technical product development—ensuring that our platform reflects real-world team workflows and lifing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the strategy and design of RFID or NFC integration for physical parts tracking (tagging, scanning, data sync).

Collaborate with the product and engineering team to define data models for parts versioning and lifing.

Create and test real-world use cases for RFID/NFC deployment in shop, paddock, and on-track environments.

Provide expertise on how teams currently track part lifespan, failure thresholds, and component revisions.

Work directly with motorsport teams, suppliers, and fabricators to onboard them into TrackIt’s RFID/NFC system.

Develop user training and implementation materials for customers adopting the system.

Serve as a domain expert on racing hardware within the TrackIt product and contribute to future roadmap planning.

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a Race Engineer, Performance Engineer, or Technical Lead in motorsports (e.g. F2, GT, LMP, or similar).

Deep knowledge of race car components, lifing systems, and maintenance practices.

Experience with or strong understanding of RFID/NFC technologies and their application in industrial settings.

Comfort working cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and software engineers.

Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical workflows into product logic.

Experience working in a fast-paced or startup-like environment is a plus.

Bonus Points For

Experience with RFID/NFC hardware vendors or supply chain systems.

Hands-on experience with parts inventory management platforms.

Willingness to travel occasionally to test and onboard at race shops or events.

Familiarity with motorsport data systems (CAN bus, telemetry, AIM, MoTeC, etc.)

Why Join TrackIt

Be at the intersection of cutting-edge software and elite motorsports.
