The Research Associate is responsible for monoclonal antibody manufacture using the recombinant antibody process and production of cell line products. This is an exciting opportunity to have an immediate and positive impact within the team and support researchers and scientists worldwide to discover faster!

This position reports to the Production Manager and is part of the Cell Sciences In-House Manufacturing team located in Cambridge, on-site. At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

1. Support all aspects of recombinant antibody process for monoclonal antibody manufacture, including plasmid preparation, transfection, and affinity purification.
2. Assist in resuscitation, subculture, and cryopreservation of cell lines for production of Abcam products.
3. Support continuous improvement activities to enhance manufacturing processes.

The essential requirements of the job include:

1. Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and/or affinity purification.
2. Understanding the fundamental science behind recombinant antibody manufacture processes.
3. Hold a BSc. and/or MSc. in a Life Sciences.

Preferred additional experience:

• Use of an ERP system.
• HPLC or LCMS techniques.
