Job summary

YTL UK is recruiting an R&M Team Leader for our Water Network Utilities based at Yeovil. You will lead a two-person crew, manage daily repair and maintenance tasks, and travel to diverse locations to keep water flowing for customers.

The role blends hands-on work with leadership, offering training opportunities, emphasis on safety, and the chance to progress within a diverse group.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in water network repair and maintenance.
• Experience working on large-diameter mains.
• Current Streetworks qualification.
• Groundworks licence and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support delivery of repair and maintenance work across the water network.
• Tackle emergency burst repairs and planned maintenance.
• Ensure work is completed safely and to high standards.
• Lead a two-person team and role model best practice.

We're looking for a team leader to join our Water Supply Repair & Maintenance (R&M) team, helping to keep water flowing for customers across our western region.

Basedfromour depot in Yeovil, this is a site-based role whereyou'lltravel daily to a variety of locations, taking on new challenges and making a real difference to the communities we serve.

What you'll do

As an R&M Team Leader within our Network Utilities team,you'lllead and support the delivery of essential repair and maintenance work across our water supply network.

No two days are the same.You'lltackle everything from emergency burst mains repairs to planned maintenance activities, ensuring work is completed safely,to our exceptionallyhigh standards, andwithinanticipatedcosts.

You'llwork as part of a dedicated two-person team, leading by example and helpingmaintaincritical water services for our customers.

The role offers a mix of hands-on work, problem-solving, and leadership, with opportunities to further develop your skills and progress your career.

What you'll need

We'relooking for someone with:

• a valid UK driving licence and the ability to tow a trailer over 750kg
• proven experience in water network repair and maintenance activities
• experience working on large-diameter water mains
• a current Streetworks qualification
• a Groundworks licence
• a strong commitment to health, safety and quality standards.

The following would be an advantage, but we can provide training where needed:

• 360 Excavator ticket (above and below 10 tonnes)
• Temporary works experience up to 3m depth
• Abrasive Wheels
• Asbestos Awareness

• EUSR Water Hygiene
• Face Fit

Please note that participation in planned out-of-hours work will berequiredwhen necessary.
