R&D Test Technician

We are looking for a highly motivated Test Technician to join our R&D Test Department based at the state-of-the-art Red Bull Technology Campus in Milton Keynes. This factory-based role involves testing and sign-off of powertrain and drivetrain assemblies ranging from single components to full power units and vehicles.

Reporting to the Test Technician Team Leader, your day-to-day tasks will focus on department requirements including:

• Dyno/rig equipment build and test component installation onto rigs
• Routine sign-off of powertrain and drivetrain components and assemblies
• Maintenance & upkeep of dynos, test equipment and the supporting facilities
• Recording and analysis of routine sign-off test data, communicating results when necessary
• Ensuring business processes and paperwork are accurately maintained

To be successful in this Test Technician role you will need:

• Technician experience in F1, high-level motorsport, OEM testing or trackside environment
• A flexible working approach and the ability to work within tight timescales
• A pro-active approach to problem solving in a technical environment
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and good level of IT skills

Knowledge of testing/working with one or more of the following areas would also be an advantage:

• Drivetrain and powertrain sub-assemblies
• Hydraulic systems
• Fuel systems
• Turbo testing
• Test rig control systems
