R&D Tax Manager
Manchester City Centre (2-3 days in office per week)
Package: £50,000 - £70,000 + Benefits


I'm currently working with a well established Top 10 Accountancy firm in the North who are looking to grow their regional incentive & relief business with a new hire at Manager level.

Your new role:

  • You'll be responsible for assisting senior managers, directors and partners managing a varied portfolio of clients, handling all of their R&D, patent box and creative industry relief projects.
  • Working across a variety of sectors you'll be supporting clients across construction, engineering, architecture and software .
  • Maintaining relationships with clients and managing expectations surround claims and deadlines.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical tax relief claims handling calculations etc.
  • Development of staff members and more junior team members, supporting with training.
  • Working with other key stakeholders and tax professionals across the firm to spot opportunities.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Suitably qualified (ACA, ACCA, CTA, ATT), or a professional qualification in science, engineering, software etc.
  • Previous experience in a similar role working on incentive reliefs
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Proficiency and English and mathematics
