Accountable Recruitment Limited in the North West is partnering with a respected accountancy and business advisory group to recruit an experienced R&D Tax Manager. The role offers hybrid working across North West offices including Manchester and Liverpool, with a salary of £50,000 - £60,000 DOE.

You will manage a portfolio of R&D tax clients, lead client meetings and prepare technical reports, ensuring robust, compliant claims and supporting documentation.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in R&D tax relief and claims.
• Strong HMRC knowledge and compliance with current guidance.
• Experience leading client meetings and senior stakeholder liaison.
• ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage portfolio of R&D tax clients from engagement through submission.
• Lead client meetings to understand business activities and qualifying R&D expenditure.
• Review and prepare technical reports, financial calculations and supporting documentation for R&D claims.
• Ensure claims are technically robust, compliant and commercially appropriate.
• Review work by junior colleagues and provide technical guidance.
• Manage HMRC enquiries and compliance checks, supporting clients through the process.
• Work with Tax teams to identify R&D opportunities within client portfolios.
