MCSGroup is delighted to be working with a successful Accountancy Firm in Belfast to source an R&D Tax Manager to join their expanding team. The role offers hybrid working and the opportunity to manage a portfolio of R&D tax clients.

Key requirements include proven experience in R&D tax relief and strong stakeholder management, with leadership experience and ability to deliver projects to deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in R&D tax relief and claim preparation.
• Strong report-writing skills with a solid understanding of current legislation and case law.
• Confident client-facing professional with excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Experienced in leading teams, managing workloads, and delivering projects to deadline.
• Open to candidates strong in corporate tax with some experience in R&D Tax.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of R&D tax clients from onboarding through to claim submission and review.
• Lead and coordinate the end-to-end R&D process, ensuring high-quality delivery and timely completion of all projects.
• Build strong client relationships through workshops, interviews, and advisory support, improving record-keeping and claim readiness.
• Mentor junior staff, handle HMRC enquiries, and drive business development opportunities.
