Job summary

Veranova invites applications for an R&D Student placement in the UK. This three-month opportunity (starting July 2027) focuses on solid form, physicochemical studies, salt/polymorph screening, chiral separation, scale-up and crystallisation development of forms.

Current undergraduates in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences with 3 years of study by July 2027 and practical lab experience are encouraged to apply. A PPE culture is required, and sponsorship cannot be provided for this role.

Qualifications

• Currently studying a Chemistry or Pharmaceutical sciences based Undergraduate degree and completed 3 years of study by July 2027.
• Have practical laboratory experience.
• Have high attention to detail and able to maintain accuracy.
• Have a problem-solving mind set with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Comply with SOPs and show commitment to the Safety & Quality Cultures.
• Conduct laboratory experiments and participate in investigative R&D work in the labs.
• Provide technical & analytical support by performing analyses on API molecules.
• Achieve and understanding of projects being worked on, so as to contribute to project planning and the design of experiments.
• Potentially contribute to writing a scientific article or a patent.
• Maintain a detailed record of work done. Prepare reports on specific items of work where appropriate.
• Work in a safe manner and maintain working areas in a safe and tidy condition.
• Liaise with other departments within the group, particularly with analytical.
• Carry out other duties which are within the employee's skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.
