Job summary

A clinical research organization in Belfast is seeking an R&D Scientist to contribute to laboratory studies, ensuring client objectives are met. You will develop and validate assay protocols while analyzing biomarker levels in biological samples. The ideal candidate has a solid background in biological sciences, extensive experience in PCR and NGS, and a strong understanding of regulatory compliance in laboratory settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in designing and implementing PCR/NGS and or ELISA experiments.
• Experience working within a regulated laboratory environment (ISO17025/ ISO15189 / CAPCLIA).
• Strong understanding of assay verification and validation in line with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise and validate assay protocols for molecular assays.
• Conduct experiments to troubleshoot and refine processes.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders.
