Job summary

Cure Talent Ltd in Crewe is seeking a Scientist to provide hands-on R&D support across new product development, line extensions, and design changes, with a particular focus on sterile, single-use medical devices. You will conduct laboratory-based physical and performance testing, support verification and validation activities, and contribute to process validation where required.

Working closely with Technical, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, Project Management, Laboratory, and Commercial teams,

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent in a science-based subject; graduates considered.
• Experience in the medical device sector is advantageous but not essential.
• Practical laboratory experience with physical or performance testing preferred.
• Familiarity with design history files, design controls and regulatory quality systems is helpful.
• Strong organisation, written and verbal communication, initiative, and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory-based physical and performance testing, including method development and design verification studies, in line with applicable GLP requirements.
• Support new product development, line extensions, design changes, and validation activities from concept through to launch and post-launch review.
• Prepare and maintain design history files, FMEAs, design control records, and other technical documentation required for regulatory submissions and quality compliance.
• Act as the R&D representative within cross-functional project teams, providing accurate technical information and contributing to project decisions.
• Manage multiple priorities, maintain organised and audit-ready records, develop work plans, and elevate project risks or timeline challenges where appropriate.
