Job summary

Leica Biosystems, a Danaher operating company, invites you to join the Newcastle Upon Tyne R&D team, working on projects from discovery through validation and transfer in a fast-paced environment.

This on-site role requires at least a year of lab experience, a degree in a scientific subject, and knowledge of immunohistochemistry (IHC) or cancer biology. Experience in regulated medical device development is a plus, and you will contribute to life-saving diagnostics.

Qualifications

• At least a year working within a laboratory environment or within Higher Education studies.
• Possess a Degree in a scientific subject.
• Understanding of immunohistochemistry (IHC), cancer biology or antibody technology.

Responsibilities

• Work on several high priority projects and gain insight from others.
• Generate data for a specific project you are assigned to.
• Design, perform and interpret experiments on the automated staining instrumentation.
• Be part of a wider R&D organisation, gaining exposure to a variety of different project types.
• Learn and implement the process of developing products within a regulatory environment.
