Job summary

Clearline Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a leading global healthcare organisation in Motherwell to recruit an R&D Scientist. This hands-on role will support the development of innovative diagnostic technologies, performing experimental work, data analysis and final documentation.

The position is onsite in Motherwell, full-time on a 12-month contract, offering exposure to complex immunoassay technologies and a dynamic IVD environment with global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Strong laboratory and experimental skills.
• Knowledge of diagnostic immunoassay technology.
• Excellent attention to detail and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct and analyse laboratory experiments.
• Support multiple technical workstreams and project milestones.
• Follow and improve complex experimental protocols.
• Analyse results and provide clear conclusions and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and technical documentation.

Role: R&D Scientist

Location: Motherwell, Onsite

Hours: Full-time

Contract: 12 months

Pay: £14.35 - £16.92 per hour

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an R&D Scientist to join one of our longstanding clients, a leading global healthcare organisation, in Motherwell.

This is a hands-on laboratory role supporting the research and development of innovative diagnostic technologies, with responsibility for experimental work, data analysis and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline
• Relevant industry experience
• Knowledge of diagnostic immunoassay technology
• Strong laboratory and experimental skills
• Good computer literacy and data analysis capabilities
• Excellent attention to detail and technical documentation skills
• Experience with particle-based immunoassays, fluorescent detection or whole-blood assays advantageous
• GMP, GLP, GDP or biohazard environment experience desirable
