R&D Mechanical Engineer

This role reports to the Discipline Lead - Barrier Valves. We consider mid-career and senior experience candidates.

RD104-ESG (Senior):

Leads and executes programs by establishing project development plans and approving design documents following HSE processes. Provides engineering guidance, employs advanced techniques, and proposes new technologies to meet design needs. Collaborates with other disciplines on standards for calculations, testing, and reliability analysis. Develops custom equations and solutions, provides test recommendations, and updates processes and tools. Ensures compliance with industry standards and regulations. Contributes to technical papers and IP development. Maintains communication across teams and represents Halliburton in professional societies.

RD105-ESG (Mid-career):

Under supervision, applies specifications and engineering tools to design hardware for product changes and new developments. Processes data, writes reports, diagnoses hardware malfunctions, and contributes to reliability analyses. Identifies testing requirements, complies with standards and HSE procedures, and contributes to IP portfolio development. Coordinates with project leads to produce deliverables and develops relationships through effective communication. May participate in professional societies.
