Sika is seeking an R&D Manager for the Ucrete team in Redditch, Worcestershire, with hybrid working to balance lab and site responsibilities. You will lead the Redditch Ucrete R&D team, influence product development strategies and drive data-backed decisions across a broad portfolio.

The role focuses on strengthening digital R&D capability, advancing design of experiments, and integrating laboratory data with manufacturing and commercial needs to deliver differentiated flooring technologies.

Qualificações

• Degree in chemistry, polymer science or related field with industrial formulation experience.
• Experience with resin flooring or related technologies advantageous.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams with high safety standards.
• Data-led approach to innovation including DOE and data governance.
• Familiarity with Excel, statistical software, Python, and Power BI in R&D.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop the Redditch Ucrete R&D team, creating a safe, collaborative and high-performing laboratory environment.
• Own a balanced portfolio of innovation, product maintenance, raw-material change and technical support projects with data-based milestones.
• Shape technically robust formulations and solutions through polymer chemistry and structured experimentation; leverage digital data and analytics.
• Promote AI/ML-enabled approaches to improve learning, design experiments and performance prediction.
