Job summary

Agilent is seeking a software engineering leader to drive the Raman software product roadmap from the Laser Spectroscopy Center of Excellence in Oxford (Harwell), UK. You will manage a team of engineers responsible for delivering next‑generation software across MS and Linux platforms, ensuring a robust lifecycle and integration with hardware partners.

You will mentor engineers, promote innovation, and coordinate with global partners to align development with strategic objectives and regulatory

Qualifications

Experience leading technical teams as a project or people manager.
Design and development of commercial software on Microsoft or Linux platforms with modern architecture technologies like containerization and microservices.
Strong software engineering experience including development, issue management, DevSecOps, CI, and cloud deployment.
Experience with software for regulated environments (21 CFR Part 11) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of the next-generation Raman software products.
Oversee operations in the assigned R&D area with adherence to a defined software product lifecycle.
Solve engineering and research challenges and lead investigations through to resolution.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to integrate hardware and software solutions.
Develop and mentor software team members to foster innovation and trusted answers.
