Job summary

Midas is seeking an experienced R&D Electronics Engineer in Skelmersdale to join our dynamic R&D team. You will design and develop new electronic products from concept through production, while driving improvements to existing designs and ensuring high quality standards.

The role requires 3–5 years in electronics design, strong analogue design skills, EMC knowledge, and the ability to manage projects. A UK driving licence and ISO9001 familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Physics.
• 3–5 years’ experience in an electronics design role.
• Strong analogue design skills and hardware design discipline.
• Knowledge of EMC compliance and electrical measurement applications.
• Full UK driving licence and ISO9001 awareness.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new electronic products from concept to production.
• Support continuous improvement and innovation across existing products.
• Manage projects to deliver on time, within budget, to high quality.
• Ensure designs meet EMC and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments for smooth launches and support.
• Stay updated on new technologies and industry standards.
• Support patent applications and ISO9001 quality compliance.
