Job summary

CooperVision Limited is seeking an R&D Chemistry Technician to support the development of contact lens materials at our Southampton site. The role involves preparing materials, performing tests and maintaining lab operations to ensure quality and compliance.

You will contribute to innovative products while following safety and regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in a laboratory or high‑volume manufacturing environment, good literacy and numeracy, and strong teamwork and time

Qualifications

• Experience following SOPs and WI procedures in a lab or high‑volume env.
• Ability to prepare materials and test samples per approved procedures.
• Strong data recording and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and safety requirements in all tasks.
• Prepare monomers, solutions and test materials as instructed.
• Carry out material and metrology testing using appropriate instruments.
• Accurately record experimental data and observations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment and report issues.
• Support project teams with timely experimental work and collaboration.
