Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

  1. Carry out assumption development work for longevity and protection lines of business.
  2. Support new business activity for longevity and protection.
  3. Expand knowledge of actuarial and statistical methods for best estimate assumption setting and data analysis, contributing to internal knowledge sharing to maintain high technical expertise in mortality, morbidity, and longevity risk.

Qualifications Required:

  • Nearly qualified or newly qualified Fellow of the Institute or Faculty of Actuaries, Society of Actuaries, or similar organization.

Experience Required:

  • Understanding of markets related to longevity or protection reinsurance.
  • Experience with studies, trend modeling, and pricing within the life insurance industry, including reinsurers, insurers, and consultancies.
  • Interest in programming; familiarity or willingness to learn software such as Tableau, SQL, and R.
  • Knowledge of actuarial techniques like Generalized Linear Models and Survival Models.
