Due to having a great start to 2025 and as part of their strategic succession planning, they are looking to increase their technical capabilities, and as such are looking for a talented R&D Engineer to join their team ASAP.
R&D Engineer – Role Overview:
As an R&D Engineer you will be responsible for researching, analysing and designing, technical solutions and systems.
You will also be developing and recommending solutions to engineering requirements for complex or specialized projects or systems, to ensure that design objectives are met, including program scope, cost and schedule constraints.
R&D Engineer – Role Responsibilities:
Develop mechanical designs for system components and sensors
Produce detailed technical reports and analyses of designs
Present design information to both internal and external customers
Work with Systems Engineering to capture design definitions
Work with Electronics Engineering to ensure the designs support electronics packaging needs
Work with Test Engineering, external suppliers, and customers
R&D Engineer – Candidate Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or other relevant technical or scientific subject
Between 1 and 3 years’ experience in mechanical design in aerospace
Proficiency in CAE tools, preferably CATIA and ANSYS
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and conduct investigations
Proficiency in technical report writing and presentations
Ability to interpret mechanical designs and drawings
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and tools
A desire to learn new skills, to grow, and to become a Chartered Engineer
Ability to travel within the UK, to the US, and to Europe to support projects
R&D Engineer – Hours and Benefits:
37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday
4 days in the office, 1 day working from home
Up to 10% bonus
Up to 15% pension
