The successful candidate will combine strong numerical and communication skills with experience in quotations or estimating, and will develop ownership of the quotation cycle

Qualifications

• Strong commercial and numerical skills, able to interpret pricing structures, cost breakdowns and service specs.
• Proficient with office software (spreadsheets, word processing, email) and quotation management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to listen to clients and present information clearly to stakeholders.
• Organisational and time-management skills; comfortable managing multiple quotations.
• Experience in quotations, estimating, or commercial assistant role; ready to progress.
• Attention to detail and methodical checking of data, terms and conditions before issuing quotations.
• Keen to develop knowledge and responsibilities as the role evolves.
• Ability to collaborate in a hybrid environment, Salisbury-based.

Responsibilities

• Speak with clients to understand exactly what they require.
• Price jobs and prepare quotes.
• Review costs, margins and pricing to ensure commercial viability.
• Use spreadsheets to calculate, manage and track quotations.
• Compare information and costs to determine the right pricing.
• Manage quotations from enquiry to approval and handover.
• Keep clients updated and answer queries throughout the process.
• Liaise with the wider operational team for smooth transition once work is agreed.
• Maintain accurate records and keep information up to date.
• Visit client sites as required; company pool car available for site visits.
• Take increasing ownership of the quotation process as you develop.
