Job summary

Catify Ltd seeks a commercially minded Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive quotations for surveying, geospatial and digital data services. You will own incoming enquiries, translate technical specs into clear scopes, and coordinate with Commercial, Technical, Operational and Project Delivery teams to reflect costs, risks and delivery in proposals.

You will review enquiries, build costs, and deliver timely, competitive quotations while maintaining accurate records and supporting handovers

Qualifications

• Proven experience preparing quotations or estimates for surveying, geospatial, utilities or infrastructure projects.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication with clients and internal teams to clarify scope and risks.
• Ability to translate technical requirements into clear scope, resources and costs.

Responsibilities

• Review client enquiries and technical specifications to determine scope and pricing requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate and commercially competitive quotations and estimates.
• Build up project costs using pricing information, supply-chain costs and estimation models.
• Clarify requirements, assumptions, exclusions, deliverables and programme expectations with clients.
• Work with internal teams to validate scope, resources, risks and pricing assumptions.
• Identify commercial and delivery risks before quotations are submitted.
• Maintain accurate enquiry, quotation and pipeline information.
• Support commercial handovers from quotation through to delivery.
• Provide commercial input during project delivery when required.
• Support continuous improvement of estimating and quotation processes.

Job description

We’re seeking a commercially minded, proactive Commercial Estimator to support the preparation of accurate, competitive and commercially sound quotations for Catify’s surveying, geospatial and digital data services.

This hands-on role takes ownership of incoming enquiries, turning technical requirements into clear scopes and well-developed commercial proposals. You’ll work closely with clients and our Commercial, Technical, Operational and Project Delivery teams to ensure quotations reflect project requirements, delivery considerations, costs and commercial risks.

• Review client enquiries and technical specifications to determine scope and pricing requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate and commercially competitive quotations and estimates.
• Build up project costs using pricing information, supply-chain costs and estimation models.

• Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate requirements into scope, resources and costs.
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple enquiries and competing priorities.
• Proactive, organised and comfortable taking ownership.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience within surveying, geospatial, utilities or major infrastructure.
• Experience pricing utility surveys, topographical surveys, reality capture or digital data services.
• Knowledge of commercial estimating and margin management.
• Understanding of relevant forms of contract, including NEC contracts.
