ABOUT THE ROLE:
Whilst working as part of an integrated team within the packing department, the Quick Chip Forklift Driver is responsible for ensuring the area has the relevant materials available at all times.

Key tasks of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Keeping a constant supply of materials in the department
  • Collecting and disposing of all waste materials
  • Returning any unused materials to the original department
  • Ensuring all waste materials are disposed of in the correct manner
  • Helping to support the Senior and assist the operators over breaks or when required including:
    • Packing cartons of finished product into cases according to product specification
    • Operating the flow wrap
    • Machine minding
    • Running the tipper
    • Completing metal detector checks
  • Inspecting filled cartons for foreign bodies and raising any non-compliance to the area Front Line Manager.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR…
The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience of working in a food manufacturing environment, who is self-motivated with excellent attention to detail. You will also have a current forklift truck licence with experience of driving the forklift in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT HOURS WILL I WORK?
The shift pattern is 2 days 7am-7pm, 1 day off, 2 nights 7pm-7am followed by 3 days off.

WHERE YOU’LL WORK?
You'll be based at our Whittlesey plant in Peterborough. If you’ve spotted our three wind turbines, then you’ll know where we are! With about 350 employees on site, we’re one of our largest plants across the GB business. Our Whittlesey plant is where we make our famous French Fries as well as our chilled products, such as our Shake Shake Fries.
